CHALET ZALA

At Chalet Zala we have combined the traditional charm of a local homestead with the most modern comforts our guests could wish for. We have made an effort to find interesting little accessories, such as old pots that were still in use 100 years ago, and make them part of your holiday experiance.

We are nature lovers and keen admirers of the mountain peaks that surround this beautiful area on the border of Triglav Natural Park. That is why we have kept the surroundings green and can now provide guests with plenty of space for carefree outdoor and nature experience.

WE ARE YOUR HOSTS

Vesna and daughters Tina and Petra

Dear guests!

Welcome to our paradise, designed and furnished with great attention to detail. We are committed to making your stay in our chalet an unforgettable experience.

My daughters or I will personally greet you on arrival and try to answer any questions you may have. As passionate hikers, we will help you find all the hidden paths and the most stunning views and make you fall in love with this beautiful part of Slovenia.

Welcome!

Discover and explore some must-see attractions in the area

Hike to the twin Martuljek Falls: the first, lower, waterfall will unveil itself to you soon after you leave Gozd Martuljek, and although it takes some more effort to reach the second (and more spectacular) waterfall, the hike is definitely worth your while. Anyone who makes it to the rocky platform beneath the waterfall is rewarded with a refreshing shower of thousands and thousands of water droplets.

Visit the Zelenci Nature Reserve, where the many crystal-clear and cool springs make up the source of the Sava, Slovenia’s longest river, and where diverse flora is home to a multitude of birds and amphibians. The reserve is fitted with wooden walkways that allow visitors to explore the lake and surrounding area without harming the sensitive ecosystem.

To our youngest guests, we recommend a visit to the magical Kekec Wonderland and meet the characters from the stories about the shepherd boy Kekec in nature.
